Tiffany Thomas Browne Story

I come from a line of bakers in my family on both my mother and fathers side. My paternal grandmother Mar as she was affectionately called used to bake sweets and treat at home and have her children, when they were younger go into the community of South Caicos and sell them to turn over goods for money to help take care of her family. She also sold sweets and treats from her home which was located near the Primary school and the school children would support her business. My maternal great aunt Lucy Grey, whom my Mom was raised by was also an advent home baker. She used to bake coconut duce, tarts, cakes, candies you name it and sell it in the communities of South Caicos to turn over products for money.

Many of my first recipes came from family members like Aunt Ronnie and Sister Shields. My Mom baked fresh bread, banana bread, bread pudding, vanilla and raisin cakes for her family on the weekend and for church bake sales. When we were low on food in the house or there was no more American sliced bread, Mommy used to bake something sweet that we called “Cookie”. For some reason, our home always had flour and sugar in the cupboard which are to essentials in baking. Our home love flour and we are proud to say it. My Dad’s nick name is Potato Bread which is a childhood favorite treat loved by many made from sweet potatoes.

I decided in 2020 during the pandemic to conduct a survey to see who would be interested in buying my products and the feedback was good. I started baking my go to recipes of Vanilla pound cake, Raisin Cake, Chocolate, Red Velvet and Carrot Cake. Then I branched out and began baking Cookies, Tarts, Cheesecakes, Cupcake Bouquets, Breads you name it. I decided to register my company and obtain a business license. I hired Social Scope to design my logo, menu and business cards. I initially wanted my business slogan to be "to satisfy your sweet tooth" but went with "To satisfy your cake desires" as it was more appealing to me. Here I am years later and loving it. Here's to great success in this baking industry. I love when I’m in the kitchen baking. I enjoy looking at the final product and receiving reviews and feedback from happy customers who keep coming back. With practice over time I am getting better and better at my craft and designing. The best compliment that one can give is a referral and I have been receiving many referrals. Wish me well as you support my home bakery company.
